Back in the Bay
It’s been a week since I spent the weekend in L.A. and, if you ever wanna get a new perspective of the city you live in (and possibly yourself), all you need to do is take a break from it and shake up your routine. Needless to say, I’m not taking anything away from Los Angeles, because it’s a great place and has a SoCal vibe and style all its own; however, when I returned to San Francisco, I had a renewed appreciation for the city and a greater sense of humility toward everything S.F. has to offer, the good and the bad.
Perhaps, while moving through the day-to-day routine, my need to pause and count my blessings (big and small) got ignored and lost in the daily shuffle. Now, I will be more mindful to “Stop and smell the roses,” even if it’s only for a few minutes each day. Anyway, I would like to share a few photos with you. Enjoy.
This photo is of the Pacific Ocean, just minutes beyond the bay and Golden Gate Bridge.
Here’s a local, independent, retail shop with a funny name.

Gotta give it up for local businesses, regardless of the city, right? Keep that local economy moving.
And then, there is this guy!
I know the last picture is totally random, but I had to throw it in there. Why? Because, every city is better when you have a friend with you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’ll be back in a few days with something new. Now, go do something nice for yourself, anything that makes you smile. 🙂
